OFSTED Discussion film

Researchers in the School of Education at the University of Huddersfield are using this animation to enable discussion with those who have experience of the Ofsted inspection process. It is based on research in a school judged as requiring improvement and use the words of teachers to highlight the experiences of teachers. While changes have been made to the process the animation has resonated with practitioners and inspectors, promoting debate and discussion that is enabling researchers to explore the wider relational aspects of inspection. The aim is to engage professionals and the public and to give voice to ideas about alternative approaches to inspection.
