Hello there...
Kilogramme is an award winning character animation studio based in Manchester.
Established in 2005, we produce a wide range of character led animation, including short films, title sequences, museum installations, stings and commercials for broadcast and online.
We're always keen to assist our clients in finding the best way to reach their audience and have found that our animation has had remarkable results when it comes to getting the message across, be it humorous or serious.
We cover all aspects of production, from initial concept, scripting and design, right through to animation in traditional 2D, motion graphics or 3D.

Jon Turner - co director
Jon came into animation via a Classical Civilisation degree at Nottingham University, time spent backstage at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and an MA in Computer animation at Bournemouth’s NCCA.
It was there he answered an advert for a short term contract at Cosgrove Hall Films, which lead to five years in their digital department.
During his time at CHD he worked on a variety of projects, from Postman Pat and Fetch the Vet, to music videos for Mr, Scruff and Tindersticks, as well as cut scenes on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
In 2005 he left to start Kilogramme and found himself playing a role in most aspects of the company. A champion of new talent, he has links with several animation courses such as MMU, Salford, UCLan, Edgehill, NTU and Leeds College of Art and has judged for the BAA, RTS, Bolton Film Festival and DAFF.
Past members of staff have gone on to work for companies such as Cartoon Saloon, Studio AKA and Aardman. Over the years Jon has found himself as far afield as Boston and Nairobi with the DTI and Adanianlabs.
With Kilogramme, Jon has also directed and animated countless short form projects for clients such as the BBC, Ben and Jerry’s, Turkish Airlines and the V&A.
